Writing Groups are replacing Camp NaNoWriMo Cabins and will be available all year.
If you would like to be invited to a "Writing Group", check out the forums to see which writing groups might be recruiting. If you find one you like, post in the thread and ask to be invited!
If you have been invited to a Writing Group, you can join by clicking on “Groups” from your home page. (You can be a member of multiple writing groups!) There you will see any invitations as well as groups you may have already joined. To join, click on the “Join Group” button.
Now you are part of a Writing Group! You will see the feed in the center of the group page, and the list of active members on the left. If your group admin has allowed you to invite members, click on the icon with a person and a “+” sign, and you can invite a friend by typing their username in the search box that will pop up.
Writing groups include group notifications within the feed that will show up when you create a new project or goal, or earn a new badge. If you'd like to hide this, please go to your privacy settings and change the option for "Who can view your projects?" to "Only Me".
You can also post in the feed by typing into the text field and then clicking “Send”. You can format your text and include links by highlighting the text, which should then display the formatting tools.
If you feel you are being abused or want to report Spam, please use the "Contact Us" link to the "Complaints" section on the right. We take these issues very seriously and want everyone to enjoy their experience.
If you want to leave a Writing Group, click “Leave Group”.
The next time you log in, you can take a shortcut to your Groups through the Community menu, clicking on “My Groups”.
