If you won NaNoWriMo, you should see a trophy next to your project word count tracker and a link that says "Winner" that will take you to the Winner Page. If you don't see the 2024 Scrivener offer, there are three possible reasons why:
- You did not officially win NaNoWriMo 2024. Our winner page is automatically generated if you participated in NaNoWriMo 2024 under the official challenge and wrote 50,000 words between November 1st and November 30th. This article says more about what is needed to officially win.
- You won NaNoWriMo before we fixed a bug on November 15th. The Scrivener code is not a static code for all winners. A unique code is individually generated on each winner's page. This function was not working properly prior to November 15th, but we fixed it at that time and we sent an email on November 18th to all Wrimos who had won at that point, providing them with these instructions on how to get the code.
- You missed the deadline for the 50% off Scrivener code. Sponsor offers have always been published with expiration dates. We make our best efforts to remind Wrimos that sponsor offers expire every year (we underscored that folks should pay attention to expiration dates in our November 13th and December 1st, 2024 newsletters).
Some folks have asked us whether we can look into their accounts to verify that they've won and simply send them the Scrivener code once we have verified their win. As mentioned above, this is not a static code that we can simply send to winners. This is automatically and individually generated. We are not in possession of a code that we can independently distribute to all winners.
