We want NaNoWriMo to be a fun, safe, productive, drama-free community for all of our participants. HQ is committed to enforcing our Codes of Conduct on NaNoWriMo.org and on official social media channels that are managed by NaNoWriMo staff.
We have moved away from our previous practice of attempting to enforce our codes of conduct in outside spaces (e.g. Whatsapp groups, Discord servers, regional Facebook groups, etc.). Unfortunately, NaNoWriMo staff cannot take responsibility for spaces in which we are not owners or administrators. Most outside groups that sprouted from NaNoWriMo are ones that HQ did not create or participate in, and which we have definitively said that we cannot moderate or control.
If a community member has violated our Codes of Conduct on NaNoWriMo.org or on one of our official social properties, please let us know via our help desk form or submit a complaint via our regional feedback form. Please include all applicable information in your complaint, including the usernames of the community members in question. Links to any violations are preferable to screen shots. Please note that only our help desk form, and not our regional feedback form, allows attachments.
