- Projects. Youth members will still be able to create projects, set goals, monitor and log their progress, earn badges, etc.
- Group writing challenges. The ability to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo, NaNoWriMo or any group writing challenge will remain unchanged.
- The NaNo Resource hub. Access to pep talks, NaNo Prep 101 tools and templates, advice from NaNo Coaches and Camp Counselors, materials relating to novel-finishing and revisions, editing and publishing support through our "Now What?" section, and more will all remain the same.
- HQ Events. Young Wrimos will be able to see the schedule of all-community events organized by Headquarters.
- Come Write In. Young Wrimos will be welcome at Come Write In events, which typically happen at libraries and other spaces that are open to the general public.
- Offers. Youth members will still be able to access discounts and offers.
Substantive changes have been made to the following features:

- Buddies. Young Wrimos will be able to add buddies whose usernames they know.
- Writing Groups. Young Wrimos may create writing groups, and they may invite their buddies. However, only the group creator may invite additional members.
The following features will be no longer be available to young Wrimos:
- Regions. Only community members who are over 18 will be permitted to join a region, and to participate in regional social spaces.
- Forums. Only community members who are over 18 will be permitted to participate on NaNoWriMo Forums once this feature reopens. Moving forward, forums will be open at the regional level.
